ONLINE - UCLA's Mindful Awareness Practices Class (MAPs I)- June 2020

Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs I) is an online 6 week course that teaches you to start a  mindfulness meditation practice.  We will practice sitting and walking meditations, and learn how to work with difficult thoughts and emotions. These practices will help you develop greater mind-body awareness and reduce stress, improve attention, boost immune function, reduce emotional reactivity and promote a general sense of wellbeing.  Developed and researched at UCLA’s Semel Institute Mindful Awareness Research Center.

12 CEU's through NASW-NM for Social Workers, Counselors and Massage Therapists. If you live outside New Mexico, you can receive CEUs through UCLA. Let me know if you want this and I’ll guide you through the process.

Minimum of 6 students needed for class to be held.

Cost:  $200/person ...$165/person for NASW-NM and SWBHIPA members, seniors (55+), students and the military.  $150 “Refresh Your Practice” if you are taking this class a second time. Limited partial scholarships available...send me an email. 

CEU's: Additional $15 for 12 CEU's approved by NASW-NM for Social Workers, Counselors and Massage Therapists.  Check with your Board if you have a different license.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:  90% refund up to 2 weeks before the workshop.  50% refund thereafter until 5 days prior to workshop.  No refund if you cancel less than 5 days before the workshop.  Instructor reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to insufficient registration.

Missed Classes: Sometimes life gets in the way and you miss a class.  You may make up to 2 classes in a later 6 week course.
